In 2002 RiceGrowers Co Op (SunRice) engaged Innovative Foods Australia to develop a range of Shelf Stable Rice Products.

RiceGrowers is a $A1.100 Billion turnover company based in Leeton NSW with Corporate office in Sydney. IFA was approached to implement its value adding process into the SunRice Product range. It was a "turnkey" project, the centre piece being the Licensing of the IFA IP. Innovative Foods developed a range of 250 g value added Shelf Stable Rice Products using its EasyFood Process. The product is fully cooked, requires no refrigeration, has a 12 month Shelf life and is ready to serve after 90 seconds in a Microwave.  The entire development was completed in the IFA Test Kitchen in Warragul Victoria.
Once SunRice Marketing were happy with organoleptic qualities a small production run was completed to conduct marketing trials.

The successful results of the marketing trial led to IFA and RiceGrowers entering into the Innovative Foods Australia License and Royalty Agreement. After that point IFA assisted with the selection of processing equipment, its installation and commissioning and then the thermal process validations and staff training. IFA then stayed on to ensure the developed products were scaled up in a fashion that truelly reflected the the clients expectation.

The SunCreations Brand of Shelf Stable Heat and Eat Rice products dominates the sector in the Australian Supermarket arena.

2008 World Youth Day - Sydney, Australia

We were contacted by the organisers of the World Youth Day to develop and produce 800,000 x 400g Shelf Stable meals using the EasyFood process developed by IFA.

IFA developed a range of 4 Gluten Free, clean label products. The products were quickly approved by the WYD Management. IFA are so professional in the development of products and the management of the production process that production commenced 3 weeks from the initial contact.

The production of the meals were done at the rate of 25,000 meals per day. All production was completed a month before the event. Due to the shelf stable qualities the product was stored in a warehouse in Sydney. As the event opened 200,000 meals were delivered each evening to the WYD Pilgrims around Sydney Harbour. The WYD organisers ensured that 200,000 Pilgrims were fed a Hot Meals within 90 minutes.

Jessica Watson - 16 year Old Round the World Sailor

In 2009 the IFA technology and EasyFood process provided a perfect solution as the main meal for Jessica Watson during her solo sailing journey around the World.

Jessica's  10m Yacht “Ella’s Pink Lady” had very little room and no refrigeration for what turned out to be a journey of just under 7 months. Jessica was provided a range of products produced with the IFA Process including “Lamb Shank and Mint”, Beef Ribs & BBQ Sauce, Beef Stroganoff & Potato and Chicken Curry.
